What Determines the Cost of an Air-Supported Sports Structure?

There is no responsible one-number answer to “what does a sports dome cost?” without a program, site, scope, and delivery definition.

New-build cost categories

A new project can include design and engineering, membrane and cable package, inflation and HVAC equipment, doors and airlocks, lighting, electrical work, site preparation, anchors or retention, permits, installation, and commissioning. Operating and lifecycle costs are separate questions.

The size, local codes, climate conditions, site constraints, desired use, and chosen delivery scope can materially change the total.

Used acquisition cost categories

A used dome purchase is not just the asset price. A buyer should separately evaluate inspection and condition work, removal, packing, transportation, storage if needed, site preparation, reinstallation, engineering, permits, upgrades, and commissioning.

The precise pricing, asset scope, and removal timeline for the Farmingdale opportunity are not yet confirmed. This site intentionally does not publish invented price ranges.

Use price research productively

Ask every seller or new-build provider to identify what is included and what remains a buyer responsibility. That lets you compare total project assumptions rather than an incomplete headline number.

Before commissioning new, compare this operational used installation and request the currently available documentation.
